Abandoned baby found on campus
Police are searching for the mother of a four-week-old baby who was found abandoned at DUT's Steve Biko campus earlier this month.
THE Durban Central Family Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Units FCS unit is looking for the whereabouts of the mother of the baby was found at DUT’s Steve Biko Campus.
According to Constable Khomo, of Durban Central police communications, the child is a four week old baby girl.
“The baby girl was found on 6 May at about 7.40pm by a male student. The child was wrapped in a rug, she was found lying on Steve Biko Campus DUT premises near “S” building,” she explained.
Khomo appealed to anyone who can assist the police to locate the mother to contact Durban Central FCS Unit Cst Sibongile Shazi on 0729388468/031 3254116 or crime stop number 0860010111.
