The SANDF were seen in Che Guevara (Moore) Road on Thursday night, as part of the ongoing Operation Fiela, a partnership between the SANDF, SAPS, Department of Home Affairs and Metro Police.
Heather Rorick from Bulwer Community Safety Forum said she was pleased to see the SANDF patrols in the area. “There are a lot of problems in Che Guevara Road which in the end lead to crimes being committed,” she said.
“I am so happy to hear they are cleaning up the areas of crime, just hope they do more roads, streets and troublesome buildings in the Glenwood and Umbilo area. I think it is a way forward in cutting down on crime around Durban,” she said.
