Brickfield crash victim suffered severe injuries

A MAN suffered severe internal injuries when the car he was driving crashed into a barrier in Brickfield Road.

According to resident, Ravi Maharaj, a loud crash woke him up early on Sunday morning. When he went outside to have a look, he discovered the vehicle had crashed into the barrier which had forced it into the oncoming lane where it eventually came to a stop after ramming down a bus shelter.

“Two tow trucks arrived shortly thereafter as well as three medical response vehicles and a fire engine, but no police, even after the scene was cleared,” he said.

The driver sustained severe internal injuries and was rushed to hospital.
