FOUR construction workers have been injured at the Durban harbour.
Emergency services treated four construction workers, who sustained serious injuries after a 5-6 meter fall. According to Meida Liaison officer for EMS, Robert Mckenzie, the men were working on a steel structure, believed to be a coal storage container, where renovations were being done.
Paramedics on scene said that part of the structure appeared to have collapsed and the men fell to the ground. Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and a local private ambulance service treated and stabilized the patients and transported them to hospitals in the area.
The exact cause and the reason for part of the structure collapsing are stage unknown and will be investigated.
