Man knocked down on N2

A 24-year-old man was injured after he was apparently knocked down by two vehicles on the N2 heading north between Spaghetti Junction and Umgeni Road earlier today.

ER24 paramedics  found the man in the fast lane of the highway. According to and ER24 report, it is understood he tried to escape during an attempted hijacking on the highway. He left the vehicle and ran across the highway. He tripped and fell on the road. He sustained fractures and abrasions after being knocked over by the vehicles.

He was treated and transported to King Edward Hospital. Local authorities were on scene.
