Police confirm M13 murders

The two men that were found dead on the M13 have been identified as Sydenham residents.

POLICE have confirmed the murder of two men found on the M13 this morning.

According to Bongumusa Manqele, Pinetown SAPS communications officer, a driver was travelling past M13 when he saw a white Polo Player with two deceased men at 5.30am.

“It is still unclear what the motive of this murder was but the car belongs to a businessman from Sydenham. The two men borrowed the car from him yesterday,” he said.

Russel Meiring from ER24 said two men in their 30s were found dead in their car this morning at the M13 onramp in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.

“ER24 crews were on their way to their local base when they noticed law enforcement officials standing near a light motor vehicle on the side of the road.

“Officials flagged down the paramedics to assist on scene.

He added that when they approached the car, they noticed two men lying in the front of the car surrounded by large pools of blood.

“They were later declared dead on scene,” said.

The owner of the car arrived at the scene and identified the two men.

The scene has been cleared.
