Man stabbed, dragged to death in Durban

Police are investigating the death of a man who was stabbed to death in Sherwood.

SYDENHAM police are investigating the murder of a man who suffered multiple stab wounds and abrasions and died in Sherwood on Tuesday evening.

According to Netcare spokesperson Chris Botha, Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at West Riding Street in Sherwood and found the injured man.

“He had allegedly been dragged along the road,” said Botha, adding that the injured man went into cardiac arrest shortly after paramedics arrived.

“They tried to resuscitate him, but despite all their efforts he died at the scene,” he said. Botha said the man had been stabbed to death.

Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said the motive for the killing was still unknown.

This incident comes after a student died from a stab wound in attempted smash and grab Durban on Monday.
