Fundraiser breakfast raises R50 000

A successful fundraising breakfast in support of the Robin Hood Foundation was held at the Durban Country Club.

THE Robin Hood Foundation held its annual fundraising breakfast in association with the Caxton Group on Friday, 12 September at the Durban Country Club where an incredible R50 000 was raised.

The ‘Spring in your Step’ function was hosted by East Coast Radio’s Abi Ray. First on the agenda was a speech by Sharks player, Jacques Botes, who spoke about the importance of living a balanced life, a healthy self-esteem, gratitude and faith.

This was followed by Cindy Norcott, businesswoman and founder of the Foundation, highlighting points to enable you to ‘put a spring back in your step’ – know and focus on your purpose, pray, ponder and pause, play and pamper, be present and pay it forward.

Auctioneer, Pierre Boschoff, was up next and raised over R27 000. This was followed by the announcement of the raffle and lucky draw winners.
