Federico Freschi (baritone), Christopher Duigan (piano) and guests, James Grace (guitar) and David Salleras (saxophone) will entertain audiences at St Agnes Church, Kloof on Friday, 19 September from 7.30pm as part of the St Agnes Kloof Concert Series.
This Spanish, Latin and Italian mix of popular music gives audiences a sneak preview of what the musicians will perform at The Witness Hilton Arts Festival which starts the same day.
Freschi sings Neapolitan songs including ‘O sole mio’ and ‘Santa Lucia’ accompanied by James Grace on the mandolin. In ‘Granada’ he teams up with Salleras whose accompanying improvisations bring authentic Spanish flavour. Grace and Duigan play a selection from their popular ‘ Together Again’ programme including Duigan’s popular ‘Indigo’ as heard in their recent St Agnes performance. They join Salleras in the flamenco inspired ‘La Fiesta’ and ‘Spain’.
