Enjoy tea and time with elderly

Support the Robin Hood Foundation's new project, and spend some time with the elderly.

THE Robin Hood Foundation continue to spread their love with their ‘Tea and Time’ project which aims to brighten up the long, and often monotonous, day of those living in old age homes.

According to Kim Griffith Jones, the Robin Hood Foundation coordinator, sometimes months or even years go by without these residents receiving a visitor.

“The aim of the project is to provide treats and spend time chatting to them, many of whom comment that the time spent and conversations had is the most valuable part of the occasion,’” explains Kim.

The ‘Tea and Time’ visits will take place on Tuesday, 26 at Benson Place in Morningside and Thursday, 28 August and Essenwood Home. If you would like to join the Robin Hood Foundation team for the visits or get involved by baking a cake or biscuits or providing a plate of savoury snacks, email Kim Griffith Jones at robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net or phone 076 612 9060.
