Rotary launches exciting business initiative

Local business people are encouraged to attend a series of talks by local business experts on important and sometimes controversial issues.

BUSINESS Update, a new initiative by Kloof Rotary Club, is all set to inspire local businessmen.

On the fourth Tuesday of every month at Kloof Country Club, Kloof Rotary will host an open meeting featuring a series of talks by local business experts on important and sometimes controversial issues. The first talk on Tuesday 22 July from 6.30pm to 7.30pm will be by well-known employment law specialist, Colin Heads, and is entitled Reflection and Prediction – A perspective on the happenings and developments in South African Employment Relations in 2014 thus far and what we can expect going forward.

“It is so important that local businessmen stay up to date on current issues and we hope many of them will be keen to set aside this short time every month to join us for the talks,” said Kloof Rotary board member, Selwyn Comrie.

Forthcoming talks, all at Kloof Country Club, will include:

Investing in Africa – Challenges and Opportunities by Jeff Blackbeard (Africa Strategy Advisor – Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants) on Tuesday 26 August at 6.30pm.

Performance and Executive Leadership by Charles Henzi (Executive Reward Consultant – DRG Outsourcing) on Tuesday 23 September at 6.30pm.

Entrepreneurism by David White (Managing Director – DRG Outsourcing) on Tuesday 28 October at 6.30pm.

Conflict Management and Negotiation by Hugo Misselhorn (Management Consultant) date to be confirmed.

There will be no cost for admission and snacks will be provided. All local businessmen are welcome to attend, listen to the talks and join in the question and answer sessions afterwards. This is an opportunity to catch up on the latest business developments in a friendly social setting. Contact Selwyn Comrie on 082 659 4659 if you are going to attend.
