Car radio returned

A Morningside man was lucky to have his sound system returned by crime fighting Berea police last Tuesday.

According to Lieutenant PN Naidoo, the man had locked his van and parked it on Sixth Avenue at about 6.30pm but heard the alarm at about 2am and saw two men run off when he checked the vehicle.

“The suspects were caught by security guards and police members who responded to the complaint and the sound system was recovered,” he said.

The two were arrested for theft out of motor vehicle.
