Adopt a room at Durban Child and Youth Care Centre

The boy's lounge at one of the Durban Child and Youth Care Centre houses has been given a revamp.

COMPANY Interior Lane took on a project at Glenwood’s Durban Child and Youth Care Centre recently.

Members transformed the Saunders boy’s lounge, changing it into a happier space making use of left over fabrics from previous projects and recycled wood.

Shaves paint donated paint for the project, and other sponsors were Gavin Drinn, Rachel Garbers, Complete Flooring, Tarynne Lucas from Bo Jangles and Anne Lemon from Pinetown who gave her time and expertise creating beautiful cushions and soft furnishings in order to light up the space. Members of Grace Family Church and Judy Mckenzie enabled the company to take part in this experience.

Thina Hlophe from Durban Child and Youth Care Centre thanked Lane Meets of Interior Lane for adopting the Saunders House TV room.

“This unit is for boys age between four and 10 years. The room has been given a new lease of like, with a nautical theme, inspiring our boys to sail on life’s journey’s and have hope as an anchor for their souls. A big thank you to everyone who came together to help create a beautiful space for our little ‘sailors'”, she said.
