KZN Military Tattoo for Durban

The SANDF is celebrating 20 years of democracy with this year's KZN Military Tattoo.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Military Tattoo will present a feast of military entertainment to Durban crowds at the Natal Mounted Rifles at the corner of Masabala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue and Isaiah Ntshanganse (Walter Gilbert) Road, opposite Moses Mabhida Stadium from 9 to 12 July.

In 1994 a new organisation was born through the integration and amalgamation of various elements. This organisation is what we know today as the South African National Defence Force and is made up of previous statutory and non-statutory forces.

The SANDF is proud to be a part of celebrating Twenty Years in Defence of Democracy in South Africa, and the KwaZulu-Natal Military Tattoo is part of this.

The KZN Military Tattoo strives to build on the legacy left by the Durban Tattoo during the 1970s and 1980s and offer the public the opportunity to experience traditional military music and other related military acts.

Military music has proven itself to be a firm favourite with the public and this year the SANDF looks forward to providing the most outstanding military music money can buy, proudly brought to life by well-trained military brass and pipe bands from the different Services. In addition to the military music, the public will be treated to military re-enactments which will show why South Africans can truly be proud of the South African National Defence Force.

Tickets are currently available at Computicket or at the gate.

The gates will open at 4.30pm to the public, which will allow for plenty time to enjoy a delicious meal in the well-stocked food court which will cater for every taste. The public can also enjoy the military display, which will be provided prior to the 7pm start of the KZN Military Tattoo.
