Businesses, schools and NGOs are encouraged to exhibit at this year's Sustainable Living Exhibition.

IMAGINE Durban projects will host its fifth Sustainable Living Exhibition from Friday, 22 August to Sunday, 24 August at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 9am to 5pm.

The exhibition targets all sectors of society including individuals, non-profit organisations, schools, government departments, state owned enterprises and businesses who are implementing initiatives that advance sustainable development.

The Botanical Gardens Indigenous Plant Fair will take place at the Sustainable Living Exhibition this year.

Although the exhibition seeks to provide a suitable space to share initiatives that advance the strategic goals of eThekwini’s Long Term Development Plan, there is emphasis on environmental sustainability and exhibitors can showcase their initiatives in energy efficiency and renewal energy, waste minimisation and recycling, water conservation, food gardening and greening, environmental advocacy, health and wellbeing, creative arts and social justice.

Registration fees are R3000 for business and R300 for other sectors. Schools and government departments exhibit for free.

If your organisation is interested in hosting an event in your community that is aligned to or advances sustainability or the Imagine Term Development Plan goals, contact the municipality.
