Missing Dietrich Scholz believed CIA was after him

UMBILO Police this week opened a missing persons docket following the disappearance since January this year, of 72-year-old German national, Dietrich Scholz.

Charmane Galbraith, the estate agent who sold Mr Scholz a R2.5-million home in Chelmsford Road and who raised the alarm of his disappearance told Berea Mail this week that officers from Umbilo Police Station had called on her and opened a missing persons docket.
Galbraith had attempted to report the disappearance of Mr Scholz at the police station months ago but police told her only kin of Mr Scholz could open a missing person’s case.

Mr Scholz has not been seen in the area since January. A vagrant was discovered living in the garage on the property and the keys to the house were found on him. He said Scholz had given him the keys. Inside the house, vagrants have stripped copper pipes, taps and doorknobs. Mr Scholz’s papers, money bag and personal items were found lying next to the mattress in his bedroom. His brother, who lives in Germany, said his brother had not returned to Germany.
