Get the low-down on voting information and voting venues for Wednesday's national elections.

VOTING stations for the elections are open from 7am to 9pm on Wednesday 7 May.

Remember to take along your barcoded ID book on the day.

A quick run down

  • To check if/ where you are registered, sms your ID number to 32810.
  • If you have moved, you can vote at another station as this is not a local election, provided you are in the same province as where you were registered. You will fill in an additional form.
  • This is a national and provincial election, so you are voting twice.
  • If you have moved provinces, you can only vote on the national ballot (one vote only).
  • Make a neat cross next to the party of your choice. Make sure the backs of both your ballots are stamped.
  • The quietest times are generally between 7pm and 9pm.
