Francofete for Morningside

The third Francofete will be open to the community on Human Rights Day.

THE Alliance française de Durban and eThekwini Municipality presents the third edition of Francofête on Human Rights Day, Friday 21 March, in Sutton Park.

The concept of this free event is to celebrate diversity and tolerance on the occasion of Human Rights day and the international Francophonie week with a music and art festival together with a market of local products and associations, games and food.

Open to all in this public space, this family day and evening bring together all walks of life in Durban, transcending through all cultures, generations and communities during a festive day of social cohesion in English, IsiZulu, French, Swahili and Kreol.

A kid’s corner will keep children occupied with various activities and French games as well as a museum bus, library bus and recycling awareness workshops. A French (Café St Germain) and Swiss restaurant will offer food and drinks in a fête atmosphere.
