A woman kidnapped three men and held them in her garage after an argument broke out over the mileage on her newly purchased luxury vehicle.

PROMINENT Musgrave businesswoman and socialite, Rosanne Narandas, was arrested for kidnapping by members of the Berea Police early on Friday morning.
According to Berea SAPS, Communications Officer Lieutenant PN Naidoo, members of the Berea Task Team and Crime Prevention Unit were called after receiving a report of three men held against their will in a woman’s garage on Thursday afternoon.
Naidoo said police had tried to negotiate with the woman, but she refused to release the men believed to be employees at a car dealership.
The woman allegedly purchased a luxury car at the dealership and then had an argument over the number of kilometres on the clock of her new car. She threatened to sue the staff members and drove off with them in her vehicle.
Naidoo could not comment further on the details, however he did mention that  Metro Fire Department had been called out to cut the lock on the garage and release the trapped men at about 8.30 pm on Thursday night.
The well known socialite refused to speak to police or cooperate.
She allegedly only came out her luxury Musgrave Road apartment when her attorney arrived at about 9.45am on Friday morning, when she was charged with kidnapping and taken to the Berea detectives and Community Service Centre.
The 55 year old woman appeared in court on charges of kidnapping. With no objection to her bail, she was released on a warning and the case remanded to 27 March.
