Cheshire Home needs your support

Visit the Sparks Estate Cheshire Home in Sydenham and support their Charity Shop.

Wendy Maharaj, director of Sparks Estate Cheshire home in Sydenham thanked the Berea Mail and its readers for coming forward and helping the home when they went through a tough financial patch ahead of last Christmas.

“The community really opened their hearts to us with donations of much needed items,” said Maharaj.

The home has a charity shop where donated items that cannot be used by the children are sold to generate an income for the home. “We open the charity shop on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 1pm,” she said.

This week, 26 and 28 February, the charity shop which stocks, bric-a-brac, clothes, kitchenware and ornaments will have a big half price sale to commemorate a year of the shop’s existence.

“We hope the community comes to support our shop and buy goodies from us. We also hope to get some volunteers to help sort, price and man the shop,” added Maharaj.

If you would like to assist the home, contact Wendy on 031 209 2852.
