Glenwood boys shine in lifesaving champs

Glenwood boys excel at lifesaving champs.

THE KZN lifesaving champs took place this past weekend at Pirates Lifesaving Cub.

Nine Glenwood High School boys put in a great effort competing for their various clubs.

In the U17 division, Brett Wilken was first in the male ski section, in the male board section, Keaton Riddle was in second place, in the male sprints section, Matthew Kirkham was in second place, in the male Iron Man section, Keaton Riddle came first, in the male board rescue section, Gabriel Stopford and Brandon du Plessis were in second place and Keaton Riddle was in third place.

Keaton was the overall competitor in the U17 events.

In the U19 division, ski relay winner was Bailey de Fondamiere, with Dylan Riddle in second place and Brett Wilken in third place.

Sean de Fondamiere was placed second in the male sprints, third in the Taplin relay, second in Flags Sean de Fondamiere and first with Dylan Riddle for the rescue tube section.

Sean de Fondamiere made the KZN junior lifesaving squad, which will compete in the senior championship at the end of February.
