Cows make a splash at Midmar Mile

Swimmers will take on the Midmar Mile this year to raise awareness for CHOC.

BE prepared to witness a stampede of cows in the Midmar waters this year as eight novice swimmers, dressed in cow print will take to the water to swim the Aquellé Midmar Mile to raise much needed funds for CHOC (Childhood Haematology Oncology Clinics).

The COW herd can be joined by anyone who wishes to make a difference in cancer-suffering children’s lives and it is never too late to join the herd in making waves across the dam ’cowstyle’.

CHOC was formed in 1979 to provide support for children with cancer and life threatening blood disorders and their families.

“CHOC is proud to be associated with the Midmar Mile and we sincerely thank every participant who chooses CHOC as a charity of choice. This year we have gone a step further and in order to create awareness of children with cancer and CHOC, our fundraising arm – the Cows – are representing and creating awareness at the Aquellé Midmar Mile,” said Agie Govender, divisional manager of CHOC KZN.
