Nominations for women in business open

Get your nominations in for this year's Regional Business Achiever Awards.

THE Businesswomen’s Association (BWA) is accepting nominations for the Regional Business Achiever Awards (RBAA).

The awards recognise outstanding South African businesswomen for their valuable contribution to the South African economy. Each year remarkable women whose achievements in business have served to elevate the true spirit of proudly South African within their local economy are rewarded.

The community is urged to nominate exceptional women in the various categories such as emerging entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, professionals, corporates, social entrepreneurs and women in government.

The nominees must be women, have no matter of material concern, such as financial results still to be released, labour matters before the CCMA or any other similar body, or any other issue that the judging panel should be aware of, be a role model and be seen to be actively making a difference within the company or corporation and community.

Women must be a value ambassador of everything the BWA stands for, be a South African resident or citizen, where business is based in the geographic region of the Durban branch and be compliant with BBBEE codes of good practice.

Nominations close on 14 March. Contact Catherine Smith on 031 563 8496, 084 468 8251 or email: dbn@bwasa.co.za
