ASPIRING young filmmakers are encouraged to sign up for a filmmakers workshop hosted by Vintage Motion Pictures in partnership with the Junior Filmmakers Club to be held during the December school holidays.
The first group of children who attended the September workshop will move on to level 2 with new activities. Level one will be offered to children who are new to the workshop.
The workshop will run from 9 – 13 December from 8am until 3pm at Pinetown Girls’ High School Loggenberg Theatre. The cost is R500.
The Junior Filmmakers Club will run a competition for talented young filmmakers. Children between the ages of 10 and 16 are encouraged to write and submit a creative five-minute script for their own original film. The child with the best script will get to complete workshop level one free of charge. To enter, email your script to gareth@juniorfilmmakers.co.za by Friday 29 November.
