Traffic diverted as Cosatu marches on City Hall

Traffic has been severely affected as Cosatu members march on the Durban City Hall with a list of demands.

METRO Police had their hands full diverting traffic away from Dr Pixley Kaseme Street on Tuesday as thousands of Cosatu members marched on Durban City Hall to protest against e-Tolls and call for  efficient transport systems among their list of demands.

Cosatu president, Sidumo Dlamini  was to address workers outside the city hall later on Tuesday.

Metro Police’s Eugene Msomi said the march started later than its 10am stipulated kick off time and urged all motorists travelling into and around Durban to be aware that officers were diverting traffic away from the CBD where the march was taking place. He said police would divert motorists to alternative routes.
