DAVENPORT Square has finally announced the winner of the five month long “Battle of the Schools” competition.
Over the past five months, shoppers were asked to spend a minimum of R100 or more and nominate one of three favourite Glenwood schools to win their share of R60 000 in cash. Shoppers, and schools were invited to participate in five monthly in-mall community initiatives which would have earned the schools additional points.
The promotion came to an end on Saturday 24 August when the promotions results were announced. Glenridge Pre-primary, a school with an eco-schools status, walked away with the first prize win of R30 000 in cash.
“Response to the promotion has been overwhelming; however, Davenport Square Management must commend Glenridge Pre-primary for their participation in all the campaign’s initiatives,” says Raveshin Veerasamy, the marketing coordinator of Davenport Square.
“The campaign’s objectives to involve the community and give back each month has been achieved and this was only made possible thanks to the amazing support received from loyal shoppers and tenants,” Veerasamy said..
