DURBANITES put on their tekkies and Santa suits and enjoyed a fun family day at the 2018 Santa Run on Sunday.
The fields of the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium were alive with the sounds of happy children, live music and a whole lot of festive cheer as thousands of Durbanites took part in the fun 5km route with nine different activities and experiences along the way.
There was also a Crafty Christmas Fair with gifts, décor and treats on sale, and entertainment by MC Jane Linley-Thomas, East Coast Radio’s Gordon Graham who broadcast live from the fields of the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium, and singer songwriter Mike Wagner, who performed a live acoustic set.
The little ones tried their hand at supervised cricket, rugby and soccer, as well as an obstacle course and a mini Olympics, all run by the team of Garvz coaches. In addition, a kids inflatable play area was available to everyone.
