THE Kenneth Gardens Youth Society (KGYS) hosted a basketball tournament at the tennis courts in Ray Keyte Place, off Sphiwe Zuma (Queen Mary) Avenue, Umbilo today, 30 March.
The KGYS, chaired by Mo Msibi, was recently granted permission by the municipality to make use of the courts and the intrepid team managed to get basketball hoops sponsored.
The day was action-packed, with local basketball teams going up against each other in games. The community supported the players, and were also able to browse the car boot sale and enjoy cool drink and boerewors rolls sold by KGYS members.
