Durban scores first Premier League fan park
A derby day of football, food and fun was held in Durban on Sunday.
DURBAN football fans were treated to a Premier League Derby Day Extravaganza on Sunday, 10 December at the Kings Park Stadium Precinct.
The launch of the fan park was an initiative based on the principle of enabling English Premier League Football supporters of all teams to congregate, associate and celebrate their favourite teams’ performances while enjoying a derby day of football, food and fun to kick off the Durban holiday season.
Kicking off at 10am, the derby hosted several five-a-side tournaments featuring teams and divisions of all age groups, and two English Premier League Football matches were broadcast live on the largest outdoor daylight screen in South Africa with the games between Liverpool and Everton and Manchester United and Manchester City.
