Sunflower Charitea a sweet success

MORE than 150 women gathered for The Sunflower Fund Women’s Day Charitea on 12 August, to raise funds to create awareness as well as educate and recruit more blood stem cell donors to increase the number of people registered on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.

Guests were treated to a range of delectable cakes sponsored by Chateau Gateaux, a gift bag filled with girlie spoils as well as a hot cappuccino courtesy of Hirsch’s Homestore Hillcrest. The much-anticipated comedy ‘Snatched’ was screened at the event and did not fail to deliver on the comedic relief as promised.

Raffle tickets sold like hot cakes as guests wagered their luck on two incredible raffle prize packages totalling R5 300.
