Glenwood waterpolo teams dominate
Glenwood High School's waterpolo teams excelled in matches against Martizburg College.
GLENWOOD water polo teams took on rivals Maritzburg College this weekend.
In the U14A match Glenwood played catch for the entire game. The hosts opted for a drop defense which the Glenwood boys battled to break. Going into the last quarter 2-4 down it took some serious intervention and Glenwood were able to break the Maritzburg defense and win the match, albeit by one goal.
The U15A match saw the boys play long course waterpolo for the first time. They battled to get their structure right in the beginning but by the third quarter they found their rhythm and won comfortably.
The 1st match saw the young Glenwood boys put on a magnificent display of attacking water polo. Despite missing several scoring opportunities, the boys ran amok against a determined College team, winning 22-3.
