Get out and about in nature this weekend with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club.

EXPLORE the outdoors with local hikers this weekend.

Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will hike at Nagle Dam (Cato Ridge) on Saturday 8 October.
Meet at 1.45pm at the first picnic site at the entrance of Nagle Dam. The hike will take the group through the reserve past the dam wall and back.

Entrance fee is R30 (credit cards only). BYO for braai and social afterwards at the picnic site.
Grade 2 – moderate, distance is ±8km.

On Sunday 9 October, the group will hike at KZN Table Mountain (Cato Ridge).

Meet at 7.30am at Union Main Centre, 45 Old Main Road, Pinetown or at 8.15am at Cato Ridge Motors (close to Eddie Haven Drive, Cato Ridge).

Hike to the top of the KZN Table Mountain in the Inanda Valley and enjoy some of the escarpment before going back down.

Views of the Valley of a Thousand Hills, Nagle Dam and Old Baldy are possible on a clear day. The mesa is open grassland and there are also some geologically interesting glacial striations on the summit.

Petrol sharing R25, car guard R20, guide fees R25 for members and R50 for visitors.
