SEVEN people including three children were left with various injuries after the taxi they were in collided with a on Umgeni Road this afternoon.
According to Ceron Lennox, advanced life support paramedic at Rescue Care, paramedics arrived on the scene to find the injured commuters seated on the pavement alongside the taxi. “More Rescue Care ambulances were called to assist. A 10-year-old child sustained an injury which required Advanced Life Support intervention but was stabilised on scene. Once all the patients were triaged on the scene and stabilised, they were then transported to a nearby hospitals for further care,” Lennox explained.
The cause of the accident is unknown, however the necessary authorities including SAPS were on scene to investigate further.
