SLEEPY HEADS BABIES:

Make and donate 67 SleepyHeads for Madiba Day

PROVIDE simple winter comforts like the 67 SleepyHead Babies for Madiba Day project this Mandela Day.

The initiative aims to provide a minimum of 67 warm and cuddly friends to those less fortunate children, who lack the opportunity of having toys that provide joy and comfort.

The overall concept of the project is a simple one, in that it asks of the crochet and knitting communities of South Africa to create their very own SleepyHead and donate it to Beverley’s work address in Musgrave, Durban.

The cut-off date for donations will be 13 July, thereafter, the distribution logistics will be finalised to which all the SleepyHeads will be allocated to various children homes on Mandela Day, 18 July. All the information you need to find out more on how you can get involved in this great initiative, is on the 67 Sleepyhead

Babies for Madiba Day Facebook page. There you will find examples of other SleepyHeads, tutorials on crocheting and knitting and all other relevant contact information.
