Help make fishing event a success
Quad-Para Association is appealing for donations for its fishing event.
EDITOR – Please could we ask for your assistance again this year, our wheelchair fishing event on 9 July, has grown from strength to strength and is one that is really looked forward to by disabled anglers having this day.
This year’s “2016 Quad-Para KZN” Fishing Event is hosted by the Durban Naval Base for the 8th consecutive year. There are only 150 fishing entries available for persons with disabilities, and 200 helpers.
We are solely dependent on public and corporate donations to function as a care giving organisation. As this competition is solely for persons with disabilities, only anglers with disabilities in this category will be allowed to participate in the actual competition. Helpers and sponsors will be welcome to fish after the event closes.
We call on individuals and companies to assist in making this day possible. We need to cater for at least 500 people on the day, serving morning beverages and snacks on arrival and a further two meals during the course of the day (breakfast and late afternoon lunch). We also need prizes and goody bags for the anglers, (goodies they can use at home). This event needs every bit of help to make it a success.
