Get out and about in nature this weekend with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club.

EXPLORE the outdoors with a local hiking club this weekend.

Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will take on a hike at Umhlanga Lagoon on Saturday 25 June.

Meet at 1.45pm at the car park opposite The Cabanas (10 Lagoon Drive, Umhlanga Rocks).

Walk along the promenade, to the Umhlanga Lagoon forest and coastal bush, cross the river along the beach (depending on the tide), back along coastal bush.

Grade 1 – easy to moderate (beach walking).

On Sunday 26 June the group will take on a walk at the Mzinyati Falls (Inanda).

Meet at 8am at Union Main, 45 Old Main Rd, Pinetown to drive in convoy to Inanda Dam.

Hike on hilly terrain from Inanda dam to the falls and back. This is a Green Corridor initiative.

Entrance fee is R25, plus R10 for the guard. Petrol sharing R25. Grade 3-4, distance is 8km to 10km.
