Mural promotes music festival

TWO of the city’s foremost graffiti artists, Stay Up Studios and Mook Lion, have decorated the community wall on the corner of Problem Mkhize and Sandile Thusi Roads, Durban, with the distinctive lion Zakifo logo with birds detail, ahead of the second annual Zakifo Musik Festival in Durban.

The festival features one of the most eclectic, multi-genre music line-ups ever gathered together in one festival programme – boasting some of the finest music-makers from France, Reunion, Mozambique, USA, Mali, Ghana, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and South Africa. It comes to Durban at the site of the old Natal Command opposite Battery Beach, for two days only, on 27 and 28 May.
