Relief organisation builds bridges with Hospice

The International Islamic Relief Organisation of SA, IIROSA, based in Morningside spread love and donated food hampers to the patients of the Chatsworth Hospice at a special luncheon last week.

DESPITE a difficult start to the new year, with two break-ins at the International Islamic Relief Organisation of South Africa, IIROSA head office in Morningside, the organisation has started the year spreading love and building new bridges.

Last week, the organisation led by Sheikh Walid R El Saadi, built new bridges with the Chatsworth Regional Hospice with a Valentine lunch celebration.

“IIROSA sponsored with open arms 65 food hampers for the patients being treated at the Hospice. The event hosted guest speakers and has given both organisations the opportunity to initiate a partnership in their journey of community service, well-being and development,” said Sheikh Saadi.

Each donated hamper included a 10kg bag of rice, 10kg mealie meal, 5kg sugar, a gallon of cooking oil, six cans of baked beans and a kilogram of salt.
