KZN Philharmonic throws a free festive concert this Saturday

Give in to this festive spirit by joining the KZN Philharmonic this Saturday at City Hall

DURBANITES are in for a treat this Saturday, 12 December when the KZN Philharmonic orchestra performs a free concert at Durban City Hall at 11am.

Cape Town based jazz vocalist, Amy Walton, will be adding her own jazz spin on classics such as Santa Claus is Coming to Tow” and “Last Christmas”.
Artistic Director of the KZN philharmonic, Bongani Tembe says: “The December holidays present a wonderful opportunity for the people of Durban to celebrate families and togetherness. This concert will show the lighter side of our orchestra as we will present an eclectic, carefully chosen programme that is perfect for all ages.”

The orchestra will be assisted by young up-and-coming musicians from KZN with Santa rumored to be making an appearance.

The KZN Philharmonic is widely recognized as Africa’s premier orchestra with 70 full time musicians from 20 countries. The Orchestra presents three symphony seasons a year, This concert is part of their proactive community outreach initiative, as well as presenting an opportunity to thank the people pf Durban for their continual support throughout the year.

“The holidays are upon us and the time has come to let go of our daily stresses to have a little fun. Bring the kids and the whole family to a free festive concert that will be a highlight of your season,”artistic director Tembe explained.
