Doggy fun walk for Bandana Day

The Sunflower Fund will host the Bandana Doggy Fun Walk in Westville on Sunday.

THE 2nd annual Bandana Doggy Fun Walk, takes place on Sunday 10 October at the Westville Civic Centre Scout Bowl, 1 William Lester Drive at 9am.

Entrance costs R50, which includes dog and owner, and R30 per additional dog or person. Entrance includes a trendy 2015 Sunflower Bandana and the first 100 entries will also receive a free goodie bag so pre-registration is highly recommended. Registration will also take place on the day between 8am and 9am.

Only socialised dogs on leashes will be allowed entry and wastage bags will be provided for owners to pick up after their pets. Fun, food and entertainment is the order of the morning and people and furry friends of all ages, colours, and fitness levels are welcome.

All proceeds will go to The Sunflower Fund. National Bandana Day, The Sunflower Fund’s biggest national fundraising and awareness campaign of the year, is on 12 October, and South Africans are encouraged to wear their Sunflower Bandanas to show solidarity for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy.
