Information wanted in kidnapping case

The police are looking for a man who is believed to be of vital assistance in solving a rape and kidnapping case.

THE Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit appeals to the community to help with information on a case they are investigating.

It is alleged that on 13 March, a woman was walking along Quality Street when an unknown vehicle stopped. There were two woman passengers, with one man driving the car. The man pointed a gun at the woman and forced her into the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle she was assaulted and later taken to another destination, after which the man raped her.

A case of kidnapping and rape was opened at the Brighton Beach police station and it was transferred to Brighton Beach FCS for investigation.
