Friends recital
Violinist, Hrachya Avanesyan, and SA pianist, Pieter Jacobs, will perform at the next Friends of Music recital.
THE next Friends of Music recital is on 6 October at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
Hrachya Avanesyan, a musician from Armenia, will perform with Pieter Jacobs.
Avanesyan won the first prize at the Yehudi Menuhin Competition and ever since then he has played with orchestras across the world.
Pieter Jacobs returns to the stage once again. He is known as one of South Africa's most acclaimed pianists.
Their programme includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Ravel.
Prelude performer is violinist Nina Kolev. She will play, accompanied by Laura Rottcher on piano, the 1st movement of Burch's violin Concerto.
Tickets are R60 for members, R70 for visitors and R20 for students or orchestral members.
