Durban Day concert ends in tragedy
Durban Day festivities at People's Park ended in tragedy after a youngster was allegedly killed in a stabbing.
EAST Coast Radio the released a statement on Sunday night after a young man was allegedly killed in a stabbing at the Durban Day concert at People’s Park.
In the statement, organisers of the event, ECR said, “We believe that there has been an assault at Durban Day 2015.
At the moment we have no confirmation of the incident.
Police and emergency services are on scene at People’s Park.
We as organisers are deeply concerned and we are doing everything we can to establish the facts. We are working closely with authorities on this isolated incident,” the statement concluded.
Meanwhile members of the public have expressed concern on social media over safety controls, crowd control and security at the event after the incident where a young boy was stabbed after a fight allegedly broke out around 7.30pm.
