CD launch for SA trumpeter
Fezile "Feya" Faku will launch his latest offering at a concert at UKZN on Friday.
RENOWNED and well-loved South African trumpeter Fezile “Feya” Faku launches his latest album Le Ngoma in Durban on Friday 24 July at UKZN Howard College Theatre at 7pm.
Le Ngoma is the accomplished South African Jazz trumpeter, Feya Faku's newly released offering, recorded in Basel, Switzerland. The album is a tribute to the memory of the late SA musos, Sathima Bea Benjamin and Pat Matshikiza, and comprises 12 original compositions. CDs will be available for purchase on the night.
He will be joined on stage by Standard Bank Young artist for Jazz 2015 Nduduzo Makhathini on piano, bassist Nhlanhla Radebe, drummer Ayanda “Ace” Sikade and guitarist Gerriet Strydom.
