Calling all past pupils

Assumption Pre-School will be celebrating 40 years of existence this Saturday.

ASSUMPTION Pre-School in Umbilo is inviting all past pupils to its 40th anniversary celebration on Saturday 20 June at Assumption Pre-School, from 10am to 1pm.

The school would like to honour former pupils and their families for their contribution to the community school.

Assumption Pre-School was established in 1975 as there was a great need for early childhood centres in the area. It was founded by Father Danker and Mrs Pat Hawes as an outreach project to serve the surrounding community.

The school opened with 45 children and the original staff worked on a volunteer basis. The numbers have now increased and there are now more than 80 pupils with a staff of paid teachers and assistant teachers.

If you're interested in attending the celebration, contact Terry on 031 205 3939 or email: assumptionpreschool@telkomsa.net
