Collision injures five

FIVE people were injured with one seriously so after two vehicles collided at the corner of Argyle and Lilian Ngoyi (Windermere) Road on Friday night around 10pm.

According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care, paramedics arrived to find two vehicles had collided in the junction before one overturned leaving two occupants entrapped in the wreckage. “The Durban Fire Department was called and once the patient had been stabilised, the patient was cut free from the wreckage using hydraulic equipment,” Jamieson said.

All five patients were stabilised and taken to various Durban hospitals.
