Early bird entries open for ‘Shova

Calling all #TsogoShova cyclists to get their early bird entries in.

IT’S that time of the year again when cycling enthusiasts start getting ready for the popular Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic on Sunday, 18 October.

With the race now in its 29th year, the Shova team are encouraging all cyclists wanting to participate in this year’s event to get their entries in early for either the 106km event from Pietermaritzburg, the 65km half challenge from Cato Ridge, and the 35km from Hillcrest . Entries close on Thursday, 30 April.

For those getting a head start by registering for the race early, there are a number of benefits including a discounted cost of only R330 per person for the 106km.

Book now and get a 15 per cent reduction on the special Tsogo Sun Amashova accommodation rates for cyclists and their families as well as secure bicycle storage over the race weekend, an early power breakfast and glucose station from 3am on race day, a complimentary Cycle Classic gift as well as complimentary welcome drinks on arrival at your chosen Tsogo Sun hotel.

All you have to do to qualify is register for the race, book and pay for accommodation before the early bird closing date on 30 April.

This year, for safety reasons the Tsogo Sun Amashova team will only be accepting entrants on an age restriction basis. Cyclists who are 14 years and older may enter the 106km, 12 years and older may enter the 65km and 10 years and older may enter the 35km.
