Chris Brown’s ‘X’ tours go ahead

Chris Brown's SA tour will go ahead as planned despite a delay in his US tour, say promoters.

DESPITE Chris Brown’s US tour delayed being last week, the star's South African tour promoters have confirmed that the SA tour and Durban's April concert date would not be affected.

Brown's US tour had to be delayed so that he could complete the last community service hours as required by his parole. The US tour will start after he completes his community service and his parole is completed.

“The SA Tour is not affected in any way by the recent change in dates of 'Breezy'’s US Tour,” says Glen Netshipise of Glen21 Entertainment, on behalf of fellow promoters Sobukwe Jali (Jalibird) and Thato Segaole (Vertex Events).

“The SA Tour, featuring August Alsina, is going ahead as planned. Tickets are selling fast and we encourage fans not to miss out on this epic line-up by purchasing their tickets now through ticketpro.co.za.”

In a Twitter message earlier this week, a disappointed Chris Brown personally apologised to all his fans and told them how he is 'busting his ass', doing community service every day so he can be back on stage soon. 'The show must go on', he wrote.

Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Chris Brown returns soon to South Africa for only two concerts. 'Breezy' begins his tour at the Dome, Johannesburg on Thursday, 2 April before coming to Moses Mabhida People’s Park in Durban on Saturday, 4 April.

Tickets cost R1 100 for golden circle and R690 for general access, and can be bought online at ticketpro.co.za.
