Be crime aware

Berea police advise the public to be aware of criminals using remote jammers to gain access to vehicles.

BEREA police are sending a warning to motorists to be aware of remote jamming incidents after recent reports in the area.

“Please take care of your property and always physically check that your vehicle is locked, as cases are still being reported where remote jammers are used,” said Berea police communications officer, Lieutenant PN Naidoo.

Naidoo advised motorists not to leave valuables exposed in vehicles.

“Always lock your doors and windows at night or when leaving your homes and make sure the alarms are activated. Always be alert, and observe suspicious people and vehicles and report these to the police,” he advised.
