Good work by Enforce officer

Berea SAPS commended an Enforce reaction officer for helping them during an accident last week.

BEREA SAPS and the Berea Community Policing Forum have applauded the actions of an Enforce Security Service reaction officer, who had assisted them in their time of need.

Berea SAPS alerted Enforce this week that their reaction officer, Vusimuzi Phangwa, had heard a call for assistance at the scene of an accident on Botanic Gardens Road on Sunday, 1 February.

Sgt Trevor James said Phangwa had stood off at the scene and controlled the traffic until the police and ambulance arrived. He said the accident was serious, and that Phangwa had continued coordinating while the necessary medical assistance was rendered to those injured in the accident.

“He continued assisting the police until the scene was cleared and the road was opened. We thank him for his dedication and the role he played,” he said.

Anthony Feuilherade, Enforce managing director, said he was 'very proud' to have Phangwa in his employ.

“We congratulate him on his dedication and commitment to his job, and for going the extra mile and offering that much more,” said Feuilherade.
